 Minimalism is the first thing that comes to mind when admiring the ATOM LCD web solution, a site dedicated to re-invigorating the domestic electronic industry through the importation of state-of-the-art designer LCD screens. A unique concept dedicated to imagery and effect rather than text.
The Challenge
Given a free hand to create and unleash a web solution epitomising minimalism, speaking ‘much more in subtle presentation and selective imagery than one dimensional text’ was a unique but inviting challenge. The finalised solution was also poised to be the integral component around which an entire marketing campaign was to be based, thus requiring a highly unique and imaginative perspective.
The Solution
A ‘truly designer web solution for an effortlessly designer brand’, by associating of the LCD unit with far more recognisable fashion icons, we created a campaign that highlighted the exclusivity and ‘custom fit’ of the Atom LCD as opposed to its competitors. In order to emphasize the DVD unit integrated to the side of the TV, we orchestrated a unique 3D flash presentation set to a distinctive selection on images. Finally we maintained the recurring theme of ‘minimalism’, by refraining from including any text on the home page other than the page links and instead relied on imaginative and user friendly icons, unmistakable colour and delicate light balance to set the correct user experience. |
